Marketing Manager

Position Purpose:

Mister Zimi are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to develop a industry-leading marketing initiatives that build brand awareness, drive sales and generate customer engagement. You will thrive on working in a team environment and have a passion for creating high-quality content to drive an industry-leading multi-channel marketing strategy. This role is ideally based in our Byron office, but exceptional remote candidates will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in collaboration with the Head of Sales and the Brand Manager to develop a marketing strategy that drives cut through, engagement and connection with our product and brand
  • Execute the marketing strategy with a focus on the generation of best in class content - including but not limited to:
    • campaign and eCom imagery
    • social media (incl. viral)
    • video
    • EDM assets; and 
    • written communication to support both branding and an SEO strategy.
  • Take an innovative, resourceful and relationship-driven approach to shoot production to enable the successful creation of cost-effective on-brand content both domestically and overseas
  • Provide thought leadership on innovative ways to communicate to our customers across all platforms to drive engagement, email sign-ups and follower growth
  • Develop and oversee the execution of a channel differentiated social media strategy
  • Learn, develop and deliver a consistent tone of voice and brand persona across all channels
  • Instil and champion diversity as a key building block of the marketing content strategy
  • Constantly look to identify improvements that will drive integrity and efficiency in operations as well as social and environmental outcomes, both in your role and across the business
  • Ensure environmental considerations are front of mind in decision making and strategy execution

Day to Day

  • Develop and execute a content plan built around the requirements of the digital strategy
  • Own the content calendar and go-to-market pack including management of key messages and copywriting for each season
  • Build and maintain a database of on-brand models, locations, stylists, photographers and other creatives in line with the Mister Zimi aesthetic in collaboration with the brand team
  • Brief, guide and manage creative resources both internally and external
  • Initiate creative thinking to achieve cut through with marketing initiatives in new ways 
  • Execute and manage all brand partnerships and collaborations
  • Manage graphic design briefing for the website, EDM’s, social media, digital marketing and other external collateral
  • Develop and maintain informative content on the Mister Zimi website in regard to values, background, supply-chain ethics, sustainability, philanthropy and other opportunities to articulate our unique value proposition
  • Allocate and manage marketing budget and contractual spend requirements across each channel
  • Lead the development and implementation of an on-brand social media influencer and creator strategy
  • Manage the production of collection based ghost studio imagery through external service providers

Qualifications and Experience / Background:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a marketing or social media role in the fashion industry
  • Strong understanding and experience managing social media platforms 
  • A track record of managing direct reports as well as external service providers
  • A detailed understanding of tone of voice in communication and branding
  • A demonstrated creative capacity
  • An understanding of eCommerce systems and peripheral platforms
  • A strong understanding of the Mister Zimi product and brand
  • Understand and align with the Mister Zimi vision and values
