Textile Designer

Position Purpose:

Mister Zimi has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Textile Designer to join our growing design team. In this role you will play an integral role in the delivery of our product, while working in a friendly, passionate and talented team.

The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and an enthusiasm for original design. You will also possess a proven set of technical skills and a strong portfolio. 

About The Role:

• Creation of unique and on brand seasonal textile designs, utilising an ability to both take direction and contribute your own original creative ideas
• General print file administration and design formatting using Adobe Suite; including:
• Building repeat artwork
• Artwork formatting, colour separation, rescaling and recolouring
• Digital file preparation for print
• Digital file management
• Operation and maintenance Mister Zimi's in-house fabric printer and heat press
• Responsibility for the ordering of physical strike-offs, including liaising directly with our print mills 
• Management of incoming strike offs, including collation of internal feedback, and provide comment back to the print mill
• Management and administration of physical strike-offs
• Adherence to internal critical path timeline to ensure deadlines are met

You Will Be Able To Demonstrate:

• Relevant skills and at least 3 years experience in graphic and textile design, preferably within female apparel
• Ability to take direction and work autonomously from initial stages
• A strong portfolio of creative work you've led from conception to delivery 
• Strong adherence to the administrative side of your work
• A healthy work ethic
• Passion for the process and being part of a dynamic team
• Strong skills with Adobe Creative Suite
